For more than two decades, Enrique Iglesias and Anna Kournikova have moved through life together in a rhythm divine.
And recently, the singer offered rare insight into his relationship with the former tennis pro.
"You learn as you go," he told People in an interview published Oct. 25. "You have your good times, your bad times, and if you can get through the bad times, you'll get to the really good times. A lot of people say, 'Oh, well, I know this is the person I'm going to spend the rest of my life with.' I do kind of agree with that, but at the same time, you really never know where life is going to take you and what can happen."
Enrique, 48, and Anna, 42, met on the set of a music video for his 2001 hit "Escape"—a milestone, he told the magazine, that changed his life "in ways that I didn't even think about." Not only did the Grammy winner and the athlete form a romance, but they also later welcomed three children together: twins Lucy and Nicholas, 5, and daughter Mary, 3.
And yes, the kids love to rock out to their dad's music.
"When I pick them up from school and they're having a bad day or one of them is crying or they're fighting, we say, 'Guys, what's your favorite song?' And then one breaks out into 'I Like It,' and then they all start singing it, and it's so cute," Enrique continued. "I'm just enjoying now. I'm enjoying every single day."
While the "Hero" artist has given fans glimpses into his family's world in interviews and on social media, he's also protective of their privacy.
"Look, it's understandable," Enrique told E! News in 2014 about the attention around his and Anna's romance. "For me, my personal life, I do try to keep it as private as possible because I need that balance. When I go home, back home, I want to make sure that whatever goes on in my house, it's just for me and my loved ones with me that are right there and I need that."
